I'm a kind of newbie in this.

 

I just created for the LAUNCHXL-F28377S a simple application to be controlled by Texas' GUI.

However, after generating the code and trying to build it in CCS v8 I got the following:

 

>> Compilation failure
subdir_rules.mk:9: recipe for target 'main.obj' failed
"../main.c", line 6: fatal error #1965: cannot open source file "cgen.h"
1 catastrophic error detected in the compilation of "../main.c".
Compilation terminated.
gmake: *** [main.obj] Error 1
gmake: Target 'all' not remade because of errors.

**** Build Finished ****

 

The same goes for c2000.h...

 

Some ideas how to overcome this?

Hello Jake.

 

Welcome to this is a forum on solidThinking Embed. This tool allows you to graphically create algorithms for various microcontrollers (including the F28377S) without writing a single line of code. With the auto code generator you can avoid the various compilation errors you are getting.

 

Feel free to try Embed and ask any questions regarding the software. What would you like to achieve with your algorithm?

Step 1:Click on Project>> new CCS project

Step 2: Select the linker command file in General tab(C:\sTEmbed2017\cg\Lib\F28377Slnk.cmd)
Step 3: Click on compiler and under include options tab add the path for visSim libraries
C:\visSim90\cg\include
C:\VisSim90\vsdk\INCLUDE

Step 4: Click on advance options >> predefined symbols and add the following
_DSP
_F28XX_
_F280X_

_LAUNCHXL_F28377S

Step 5: Click on C2000 linker tab>> File search path
Add the below path in “Include library file or command file as input”
C:\VisSim90\cg\lib\ii_F280X_fpu.lib
Add the below paths in “Add <dir> to library search path”
C:\visSim90\cg\include
C:\visSim90\cg

Step 6: Copy the C code generated in sT Embed to C file in CCS

Step 7: Build the project and debug it
