  1. Hi, I tried to run the incremental radioss solver. I gave all the parameters and then when I run the solver, I get the following error that 'Restart file 1_0000.0001.rst was not created' and 'Missing normal termination in output file 1_0000.out'. I have attached with the screenshot of the error. Kindly help me in providing a solution as early as possible. Thanks in advance.

  4. Radios Incremental Drawing simulation

    Hello Everyone, ] was trying to perform a drawing simulation on a simple part. I used radioss incremental auto process. I chose to setup a tool with the die surface but it gives me errors with few of the parts that I tried. What things should be considered while setting up a tool from the die surface, currently I just select the outer surfaces which act as die holder? Can anyone please shed some light on this topic?
  5. Hi, I'm trying to simulate the interraction between a box and waves in the sea. Thus I'm using the material LAW37 (BIPHAS) in order to model the interface between water and air which are modeled in ALE. The problem is that I don't know how to model the boundary conditions on the transverse faces in order to avoid wave reflexions on the wall (to simplify the computation, all DoFs are fixed on the longitudinal faces). I can't use MAT/BOUND (LAW11) because it doesn't work properly with the LAW37. So i'm trying to model these boundary conditions using a material LAW37 to create an "air outlet" and a "water outlet" with the same initial values as air except for : -the liquid bulk modulus C_Liquid = 0.0 - gamma = 0.0 The computation runs well at the beginning and i get a pressure gradient in the fluid volume, so it's okay. But then an error appears : " STOP : NEGATIVE RHO=-0.1322538772563E-09 FOR 3D-ELEMENT ID=3696 ERROR TERMINATION " In the results file I can see that there is a problem with a really big velocity vector on top of the volume in the air part. I think this is linked, but I don't know how to avoid this. Moreover, to model the interface between the box and the water, I use INTER/TYPE18 but I don't know how to set the right value for the StfVal. Using the formula written in the Hyperworks Help i.e. StfVal=(rho * v² * Sel)/GAP , the box is floating in the air, and not in the water. Do you have any suggestion?   8. Animations files are not generated

    Hello, After the simulation has succesfully completed, I cant find any animation files on the directiory where the starter and engine files are, even though the card ENG_ANIM_ELEM has the following options checked: - Status - EPSP - ENERGY - VONM - HOURG I attach the engine file. I would appreciate if anyone could tell me how to solve this issue. Thank you in advance.

  12. 材料則2(Johnson-Cook則)は鋼材やアルミ等の金属材料の材料則として、良く用いられるものですが、そのパラメータは以下のようにして求めることが出来ます。 まず、引張り試験の実測の応力-ひずみ曲線から真応力-真ひずみ(対数ひずみ)の関係に変換し、更に真ひずみからσ/Eで弾性成分を差し引いて、縦軸真応力、横軸真塑性ひずみのグラフが得られているものとします。Johnson-Cookの式はひずみ速度依存と温度依存を除くと、 σ=a + b εpn の指数関数で降伏後の硬化曲線を近似しますが、この式は、 σ- a = b εpn の形にした後で、両辺の対数をとれば、 log(σ- a) = log(b εpn) = log(b) + n log(εp) と直線になります。これらのパラメータのうちaは降伏応力ですのでεpが0のときのσの値で、後はbとnを決めれば良い事になりますが、対数の形にした後は直線ですので、最小2乗法を用いれば、実測σ-εpの関係からフィッティングを行うことが出来ます。 実測のカーブからのデータ処理の詳細は、Radiossユーザーズ/リファレンスガイドの例題11-引張り試験をご覧ください。
  13. Hello everyone, For the first time we are working with series of radioss files. At a given time of the calculation , for example at t=10s, we would like to continue the calculation by deleting a component. The reason is that this componenet is RDX gaz and is causing problems at the interfaces at a time he is no longer important in our model. In the HELP documentation we found that it was possible to delete a defined set or list of elements, but we are trying to delete an entire component, If any one could help us please ! In the new file of calculation _002.rad we want to use /DEL/????? for example like /DEL/Component

    Hi, I've started to use Radioss few days ago, and I'm performing an impact analysis on a vehicle component. Actually I'm not able to find the Autocontact tool (as in Hypermesh Optistruct) in order to set all the contact surfaces. Can you tell me where could I find it please? Thanks in advance

  21. Dummy Crash Simulation problems

    Dear Forum, for a project I want to simulate the effect on a person who is driving a car with 13.88 m/s (50 km/h) and crashes into an obstacle with a 90° angle towards the obstacle (straight front crash). The person is represented by a dummy (50% Male), the seat structure was modeled by altair, as well as the dummy. I created two seatbelts with the Hypercrash tool Belt Generator (Hypercrash --> Safety --> Belt Generator) and deformed the seat with the seat deformer (old) (Hypercrash --> Safety --> Seat Deformer --> Geometrical displacement (old)). Due to simplification I removed the complete lower sector of the seat group and replaced it with a rigid body, which is linked to the floor and the seat. I built the model as follows: Loadcases: -Initial velocity: applied to all parts of the model (13.88 m/s) -Imposed velocity: A function, which decreases the speed from 13.88m/s to 0 within 30 ms. Applied to all parts but the dummy itself. -Gravity load: To maintain physical correctness of the dummys motion. -Added Mass: Applied to all nodes of the dummy to be representative for the human weight. Boundary Conditions: -BC for the seat: All degrees of freedom are locked except for the translation in X-axis (which is the direction of motion). This is applied only for the floor and the ground part of the seat. Contact Interfaces: -Interior contact: Contact between the two seat layers (was set by altair when I imported the model, I did not change any values) -Seat to floor: Contact seat to floor (TYPE7) -Feet to floor: Contact feet to floor (TYPE10) -Seatbelt to dummy: Contact upper/lower seatbelt to dummy/seat (TYPE7) -Dummy to seat: Contact Dummy to seat (TYPE7) The problems I am facing now are: -The Runtime for a single simulation is about 9500 seconds. Can this be regarded as normal, considering the model complexicity? -Results of the simulation differ too much from expactations/reality -->Normally I would have expected the backrest to at least do a little motion, but it remains in its position. -Because of the constraints of the seatbelts, the head of the dummy experiences a very high acceleration. -->Is there any chance, that the Belts ease a little bit (in the beginning) and afterwards tension up, just like in reality? -All elements of the part "LINK", ID:6 delete on the beginning of every simulation. I could not figure out the reason for that, neither in the starter file, nor in the engine file. -During the Simulation it reaches one Point, where all the masses go into one single point/node but I can not figure out, why (see attached Video) Please correct me if I am rootedly wrong with my assumptions.   22. SPH Setup Error

    @George P Johnson I tried simulating simple SPH model with gravity load and Simple BC with two different pitch for SPH in a single component. But not getting the proper behavior. I assumes it to be maintain the pitch as in its location, because in my main simulation I want to refine the area of focus with small pitch value. Hi all, I want to analyse kinematics of rotating elements in the bearing 1. when inner ring is fixed and outer is Rotating, 2. when outer ring is fixed and inner is Rotating, Effect of RMP on rolling elements in terms of deformation and contact stresses is the major objective. loading condition is given in following image. please revert with suitable solver for the same.
