  1. Animations files are not generated

    Hello, After the simulation has succesfully completed, I cant find any animation files on the directiory where the starter and engine files are, even though the card ENG_ANIM_ELEM has the following options checked: - Status - EPSP - ENERGY - VONM - HOURG I attach the engine file. I would appreciate if anyone could tell me how to solve this issue. Thank you in advance.
  2. HyperView H3D Options

    Hi, I am trying to export H3D files from HyperMesh (2017.1) and would like to set specific options I am currently struggling with. What I would like to do is to export the components of my db with the different properties coloured. However, even if I have my HM session with the view set "by Prop", when exporting the FE in H3D, the colours are set by component (one single colour by component then). I would like to know whether it is possible to have the colours of the each and every property directly in the H3D file? The aim is to export these components using tcl commands. I currently do it using the folllowing commands which does not give the expected result (properties coloured) : *createstringarray 4 "model=1" "overwrite=1" "title=0" "result=0" *writeh3dwithoptions "$output_dir/H3D/$component.h3d" 1 4 Another point is about the Model Info. Is it possible, using tcl commands, to export an H3D file without model info or changing what is being written at its place? Thank you in advance, Olivier
  3. Issues with Student version

    Hello, I am using Hyperworks student version 2017. while working on tutorial for "Beam – bending exercise using HyperBeam", using Radioss. I got following issues (solver gives only 1 warning, no errors): 1. h3d file for hyperview is missing (not generated) 2. to get h3d file, different sources talk about analsyis>control cards>output or format or global_control........... I do not see any of these.....I have attached images of control cards I can see.
  4. How do I change the h3d file to load in my session file? How to point to some other h3d file than the one that's loading by default?
  5. Opening model in HyperView

    Hi, I used the RADIOSS version 12 software for a simulation. I tried reading the results on the downloadable student version but to no avail. It asked me "select model reader" I tried the possibilities without results. : Thanks, Pierre FLANDIN
  6. results compatibility

    Hi, I was wondering if there is a possibility to open the results of a FE analysis with another program other than hyperview. Or if it is possible to export the results file with contour plots to an 3d pdf or somthing similar? thanks, diego
  7. Failure to get h3d file

    Hello! I have this problem of not getting the h3d file. After meshing my component and applying the MPCLL , I went for the free free run and then i got the message ANALYSIS COMPLETED Then when i went on for RESULTS , I got this (attachment attached) message stating "UNABLE TO LOCATE .H3D MODEL FILE" Please help me in this context .
  8. Hello everyone, I would like to export my FE-results in a file-format suitable for 3D-printing. Using a zPrinter, I´d like to illustrate stress-analysis by a real 3-model. Is there anyone who has some experience on that topic? Here are some ideas of (possible) suitable file formats: .wrl (VRML) .obj .ply Thanks in adavance! Best regards, Stefan
  9. Reduced Vs. Full FEM Model

    Good morning gents, I am running two jobs in Optistruct (A and B, the only difference between the two consisting in the fact that in A the model is built with full node and element components, in B some portions have been replaced with their counterparts in reduced form (equivalent mass and stiffness matrices reduced to the interface points). The reduced models have been created with a GUYAN reduction (CMSMETH ,1000,GUYAN) in .h3d format and read with the proper ASSIGN statement. The jobs are static analyses with inertia relief. The problem that I have is that unexpectedly the results of B differ from results of A, not much but by a decent amount. Is this normal? Is there any particular attention that I have to pay when I create the reduced models or when I read them into the assembled structure? Thank you, cheers. Dan
