Random vibration analysis using Optistruct

Question

Team,

 

I am learning the Optistruct solve and Hyperstudy. I am doing the simple Plate test case study for Random vibration analysis using Optistruct solver.

Already I have benchmark in ANSYS and I want to compare with Altair. 

 

Attached the images.

 

Could you share the random vibration analysis procedure ?

Hi,

 

Random response analysis is a transfer function of FRF and is a mode based procedure.

 

You need to have these load collectors like RLOAD2, DAREA, FREQi etc as inputs for FRF analysis.

 

I presume ANSYS applies a unit load by default for FRF and then uses it as transfer function to RRA
