  1. Two SPCD to one

    Hello, I want to transfer Displacements from a model to a submodel. I used "fields" to Import the .op2 file and then Realization to create SPCD's (one for the Displacement(x,y,z) and one for the Rotation(x,y,z)). I used the Card Image SPCADD to combine both. Then i created SPC load collector for all six DOF at the nodes where the SPCD's are. Then i created a load Step and put at subcase Definition SPC to SPC and SPCD to LOAD. If i start calculation i get the error: "* ERROR # 1908 *** Case Control data LOAD=4 is not referenced by any bulk data relevant for used subcase type." (LOAD 4 is the SPCADD load collector) So is it not possible to Combine SPCD's with SPCADD? How can I do it instead? If it helps i can upload the file?
  2. Import .csv for SPC

    I have a .csv file with nodenumbers that have coordinates and displacements. Can I import that date in Hypermesh/Optistruct to create for each node in the file a SPC that has the displacements and is located at the position of the node coordinates?
  3. Hai all, I am doing a linear static analysis by optistruct, when i try to run there show an error "fixed boundary condition in spc is not supported for linear static analysis" what will be the reason for this error? Please help me to understand the error and its solution. best regards, Dani

  5. Hello Everyone ! I would like to set up a problem on Hypermesh which include around a hundred load cases (in linear static). To automate it, I found a TCL which "allows a simple template to be created to define the loadcases; useful for creating large numbers of static loadcases very quickly and easily" (link) Thanks to a little VBA, I've just succeed in transforming my Excel data base into a readable txt file for this TCL script. And it works. But my problem is this TCL script only applies my forces (and SPC) on the global system. Is there a solution, and how can modify the TCL script so that it can apply my load cases on a specific local system (expressed into the .txt for each load cases) ? If someone can help me to takle this problem, I will be sooo grateful (Because I've never learnt how to program in TCL) Thanks in advance, Best regards, Hervé Archives.zip

  7. Hello, in order to get a smooth stress distribution with no spikes, my plan is to constrain a surface with RBE3-Elements to an SPC. Since it is not possible to directly connect the dependent nodes of the RBE3 to the SPC I thought I could use a spring (cbush) between the RBE3 and the SPC. As long as K1 and K4 of the pbush property of the spring are rigid my simulation runs. But obviously the spring will be deformed when K2, K3 K5 and K6 are zero. Nevertheless I get a smooth stress distribution. Making all six Ks rigid gives me an error. Using an RBE2 directly connected to an SPC gives me spikes. So my questions are: - how can all 6 Ks of the pbush be rigid without getting an error? - how can I connect an RBE3 to an SPC (is there a better way than using a rigid spring)?   8. Hi, I am a new HyperWorks user and I’m trying to setup an topology optimization. As optimization constraint, I want to declare a maximum force on my SPC’s, but I don’t know how. The SPC’s I’m using are respectively bolted holes. I have defined them with RBE2 Elements with a calculated node in the middle of the hole. In the post-processor I already can see the forces on these SPC’s. Is it possible to define these forces with a maximum value in the pre-processor? How can I optimize these SPC's forces to an maximum value of force they can withstand? Thank your beforehand for your answer.
